Urban Canadians spend almost 90% of their time indoors. So it’s worth asking: is the air at home, at school and at work as healthy as it could be? And what can you do to make it better without turning your life upside down?
Join us online on Monday, November 23, from 6:30 to 7:45 pm for a free online panel discussion on healthier indoor air. Can’t make it live? Please register anyway—we’ll send you the recording the day after.
Our three (incredibly impressive!!) speakers will tackle the healthy indoor air question from different angles:
Dr. Samantha Green, a Toronto family physician and president of the Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment, will cover the common sources of indoor air pollution, what the latest research tells us, and the fixes that make a real difference.
Sarah Lazarovic, a climate communications strategist who specializes in electrification and is launching Electric Living, a public awareness campaign, this fall, will cover the switches that give you the biggest bang for your buck, and the unexpected perks of an electric home.
Louise Hidinger, a chemist and founder of Clean Indoor Air Toronto, will cover how governments are approaching indoor air in schools and other shared spaces. Toronto Public Health took a fresh look at its own role this year. She’ll also cover where your voice can help.
After that, the three join a panel discussion, followed by your questions. You’ll come away knowing where indoor air pollution comes from, which fixes and upgrades are worth it, and how to advocate for cleaner air in the places we all share. Save your spot, and bring your questions!
